For those wanting to record game DVR for later viewing/editing/downloading to your pc and/uploading to YouTube.
I'll be be using Project Cars as an example.
After your race, hit save replay, just above the exit button on the leaving menu.
In your saved replays, start up your replay, when it loads hit A for pause, change camera with Y if you wish. You can also fast forward or rewind to the section you wish by using triggers on game pad (or pedals on racing wheels).
Go back to Xbox dashboard, apps, load Game DVR.
Hit start new recording, then start again to start recording. Make sure the timer has started.
Go back to Project Cars via dashboard, leaving Game DVR snapped.
Back in Project Cars, start playing your replay. You can hit X to hide replay menu. Hitting X again brings the replay menu back again when you need it.
Record up to 5 minutes max. If you leave the recording go until the 5 minute limit, the recording will automatically stop at the 5 minute mark and save itself. For a shorter clip, pause the video at the point you want to finish, go back to DVR via the dashboard and stop the recording.
If you want to do a slow motion capture, you can control the replay speed by using the triggers or pedals of your preferred controller.
Xbox will say recording saved. You can now start a new recording, go back and restart PCars replay to record your next section.
Note, don't swap back constantly between DVR and game replay while recording as this tends to cut out a bit of the recording at the point you are changing apps. Only change apps at the beginning and end of recording.
Once you have done your Game DVR recording, Xbox needs to be connected to the net for a while to upload to your feed. Once this has done, you can go to www.xboxdvr.com on your pc, put in your gamer tag and download your video for watching on pc in 720p, edit with your favourite editing programme, and/or upload to YouTube.
